Nature on Dundret

The landscape changes quickly as you move up. Below the mountain, there is forest.
Further up, it becomes sparser. Finally, on the bare mountain, it opens up completely. This means that you get several different environments on the same trip.

Plants and animals

The flora at Dundret is varied. There is everything from forest vegetation to mountain plants. During the summer, many species that are adapted to short growing seasons bloom.

The wildlife is also typical of the area:

  • Reindeer move across the mountains
  • Small rodents and birds in the forest and mountains
  • Birds of prey can be seen in open landscapes
