Cooking coffee outdoors is easy. You don't need much equipment, and it works almost everywhere.
But it's also more than that. It's a way to stop for a while.
You sit down, make coffee, eat something and take it easy. Then you continue.
What is boiled coffee?
Cooking coffee is coarsely ground coffee that is boiled directly in water, usually over an open fire or a stove.
No machine. No filter. Just coffee, water and heat.
That's how it's been done here for a long time, and it still works.

In winter, it takes a little longer, but it's worth it.
How to make coffee in nature, step by step
It's not difficult. Do this:
- Fill a coffee pot or saucepan with water
- Bring the water to a boil
- Remove from the heat for a short while
- Pour in coffee (about 1 dl per litre of water)
- Bring it back to a boil quickly
- Remove from heat and let stand for a minute so the grounds sink
- Pour in carefully
That's it! If you want to get the grounds down faster, you can pour in a small splash of cold water at the end.
